Sunny San Antonio is the nation’s fifth-largest producer of solar energy, according to a new report from the Environment America Research and Policy Center. Averaging 220 days of sunshine a year, the Alamo City produces 355 megawatts of solar power on any given day. That’s enough to power 60,000 homes or for every Alamo City household to use a 42-inch plasma screen TV simultaneously.
San Antonio ranked as the No. 5 solar power producer in the United States
