Folks on social media (and in our office) can bearly contain themselves as videos have emerged of a small black bear wandering around West Little Rock.

The bear appears to be having a nice time and doing more of what we all should be doing: getting outside, jogging, dining al fresco.

An official with the Arkansas Game and Fish Commission described the bear to Fox 16 as a yearling that weighed maybe about 50 pounds. He said the bear was “not street smart” and had likely taken a wrong left turn. Who hasn’t?

The hope is that the bear will find his bearings and make his way home. The plan doesn’t call for tranquilizing and relocating the bear unless he gets trapped in a neighborhood without a safe way out, the report said.

Facebook user Nichole McClinton posted a video Monday of the bear walking near Rodney Parham Road. Estefany Gomez posted a pic today of the bear at a construction site on Cantrell Road and a video of him dining on some trash next to a dumpster.

News of the bear has brought our office’s unfortunate love of headline puns out of hibernation. Here are a few. Not our best work, perhaps:
