Michigan Secretary of State Jocelyn Benson’s fight to protect democracy in Michigan has earned her a John F. Kennedy Profile in Courage Award. The Detroit Democrat was honored alongside Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy, U.S. Rep. Liz Cheney, Arizona House Speaker Rusty Bowers, and Wandrea “Shaye” Moss, a George Election Department employee.
The award, which honors public officials for making courageous decisions, was announced Thursday morning.
