The Chicago Stars FC tied the Washington Spirit, 1-1, in a road match on Aug. 31 to earn the team’s fifth consecutive draw, establishing a National Women’s Soccer League record.
Forward Ludmila—who recently scored a hat trick (three goals) in one match—scored the team’s only goal. She has now scored in three consecutive matches, with all goals coming in the second half of those contests.
Two key people made their Stars regular-season debuts: interim head coach Anders Jacobson and defender Samantha Angel.
Marking a change of venue, the Stars will next play the Orlando Pride at Northwestern Medicine Field at Martin Stadium on Sunday, Sept. 7, at 2 p.m. CT.
