Fall Fest at GFCM runs Oct. 5-18

The Greensboro Farmer’s Curb Market ushers in autumn with its annual Fall Fest!

This year’s even stretches across three Saturdays — Oct. 8, 15 and 22 from 8 am-noon — with live music, activities for kids, raffles and giveaways and, as always, lots of North Carolina farm products, foodstuffs and crafts.

  • Oct. 8 features music by Susan Riggs, a demonstration by local beekeepers and the Triad Eco Bus, which brings reptiles, invertebrates, strange plants and other winders of nature.
  • Oct. 15 has crafting with Reconsidered Goods, hula hooping, tastings and more.
  • Oct. 22 the Fall Fest culminates with a performance by the Glenwood Choppers, brunch form the Spotted Pig food truck, holiday turkey pre-sales by FJ Family Farm and flower crowns from Reconsidered Goods.

Apples, beets, bok choy, butternut squash, cabbage, carrots, cauliflower, collards, fennel, green onions, greens, herbs, kale, lettuce, microgreens, muscadine grapes, mustard greens, napa cabbage, pecans, persimmons, pumpkins, radishes, squash, sweet potatoes, turnips.

Chef-made meals and desserts to go from Cherries 2 Go and Homestead Kitchen, crafted by Chef Mike Harkenreader, hot biscuits made with choice of Massey Creek breakfast sausage or house-made pimento cheese.
