The Athens-Clarke County Library’s main branch on Baxter Street is closed indefinitely after bedbugs were discovered.

The bedbugs were found in a chair on the second floor. The library closed early on Thursday and remains closed today. Staff has contacted a pest control vendor, according to a library news release.

Online resources are available at athenslibrary.org, and the library’s other branches remain open. The Fall Book Sale will resume once the main library reopens.

Check the library website or facebook.com/AthensClarkeLibrary for updates.
