When we moved to Blue Lake eight years ago, one of our delights was to find that Joan Schirle who we were in awe of as a performer, was just our good neighbor Joan who worked the order wheel for Grange Breakfasts, drank cocktails, played the piano and sang Christmas Carols in the Logger during the holidays, joked with you at the Post Office and oh yeh……just killed it onstage every time you saw her perform.
She was so loved in Blue Lake and is missed dearly.
